Bulls go 1-1 at FKC Tourney

The Hi-Line boys basketball team used a big first half to advance past Overton in th first round of the FKC Tournament Saturday, then fell to Amherst in the quarterfinal round Tuesday.

Southwest medals all five at Red Cloud

RED CLOUD - All four Southwest wrestlers emdaled at the Warcat Invite in Red Cloud Saturday. Carter Van Pelt led the Roughriders with a first-place finish and remained unbeaten this season while Jacob Kerns and Clayton Hardy each took second.
The Hi-Line girls basketball team dropped its FKC Tournament opener against Loomis Saturday, 64-25, then fell in a consolation game Monday to Elm Creek, 53-32. Zoey Evans (pictured above) led the bUlls with seven points in Saturday’s contest while Kelsey Shotkoski scored six. Genesee Knackstedt (pictured below) had a team-high three steals in the contest with Loomis.

Hi-Line finishes 18th at South Loup Invite

The Hi-Line wrestling team competed with three wrestlers at the South Loup Invite, finishing 18th with 17 team points. Syrus Snow finished fourth at 285 pounds and led the Bulls with 13 team points scored.

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) is seeing continued increases in positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations due to the spread of the Omicron variant in the health district.

ALMA - In a competitive race fort he RPAC Wrestling Championship Friday, the Arapahoe Warriors came out on top, medaling eight wrestlers whiel taking a pair of individual titles. Levi Kerner remained unbeaten at 285 pounds and pinned his way to the title, becoming a four-time conference champion.

ALMA - After surviving a scare from seventh-seeded Bertrand in the first round, the Cambridge girls basketball team avanged an early-season loss to Southern Valley with a victory in the RPAC Quarterfinals Monday night.
