Body BENKELMAN - The Cambridge football team saw its season come to a swift close Thursday night in the opening round of the Class D1 Playoffs at Dundy County-Stratton.

Body BARTLEY - For Homecoming, the Southwest football team put on its best show of fireworks. The Roughriders put up nearly 500 yards of offense and scored six times, but it wasn't enough as visiting Wallace left town with a 78-42 victory that closed the 'Riders season at 1-7.

Body EUSTIS - Things can change quite a bit in the span of six weeks. In mid-September, Hi-Line hosted Sutherland and dropped the Sailors to 0-3 with a 44-24 victory in which they ran all over the Sailors in rolling away late to victory.

Body ARAPAHOE - In completing an 8-0 regular season, the formula has been mostly the same for the Arapahoe football team - grab a lead early, lean on a strong and opportunistic defense and roll away to victory.

Body CAMBRIDGE - After each team had largely dominated their first round matchups at D1-12 Subdistrict Tournament, the Cambridge and Southwest volleyball teams squared off one final time this season for the Subdistrict title and an automatic berth in Saturday’s district final.

Body KEARNEY - The Cambridge and Hi-Line cross country teams sent individuals to compete at the Class D State Cross Country Meet in Kearney Friday with each athlete representing their school well.

Body OVERTON - The Hi-Line volleyball team took down one victory, but dropped a match with eventual-champion Overton in the quarterfinals to finish their Fort Kearny Tournament 1-1.
