Cambridge falls to Southern Valley, Bertrand The Cambridge boys basketball team dropped its final two games of the RPAC Tournament, falling to Southern Valley in a hard-fought quarterfinal contest Wednesday before coming up short against Bertrand in a consolation game Friday. Against the Eagles, the Trojans fought an up-hill battle throughout the game, but refused to go away after trailing Southern Valley by double-digits on three different occasions.

ELM CREEK - The HiLine boys basketball team sprung an upset in the first round of the Fort Kearny Basketball Tournament Saturday, but couldn’t replicate the feat Tuesday as the Bulls fell in the quarterfinals to secondseeded Elm Creek, 84-50. The Bulls used strong finishes to both halves to take down seventh-seeded WilcoxHildreth on Saturday, 63-54.

CAMBRIDGE - With a snow storm impeding progress of the week-long RPAC Basketball Tournament, the quarterfinal rounds were each pushed back a day to Tuesday and Wednesday. The Cambridge girls punched their ticket through to the semifinals Tuesday night with a 41-24 upset over second-seeded Medicine Valley.

Arapahoe girls fall to Med Valley, knock off Bertrand The seventh-seeded Arapahoe girls nearly pulled off the upset of the tournament Saturday when they held a double-digit lead on second-seeded Medicine Valley before falling 57-51 in overtime. The Warriors bounced back Tuesday with a dominant 52-34 consolation win over Bertrand.

Medicine Valley boys roll past Hi-Line

The Medicine Valley boys basketball team picked up a comfortable victory over HiLine Thursday, thanks to a big first half offensively. The Raiders jumped ahead 21-7 after a quarter and held a 40-13 lead at the break before the Bulls held their own in the second half in a 66-38 Raiders win.

Medicine Valley girls grind way to win over Bulls

The Medicine Valley girls basketball team played from in front and, while it had a hard time shaking loose from the Bulls, earned a victory over Hi-Line Thursday. The Raiders controlled the first and third quarters and broke even in the second to build a 39-3o lead through three quarters, then held on for a 51-44 victory, their eighth of the season.

Arapahoe finishes runner-up at Shelton Invite

Arapahoe competed at the Shelton Wrestling Invite on Saturday, Jan. 16. The team finished second at the invite behind Red Cloud-Blue Hill. Arapahoe earned 131 points, only one point behind Red Cloud-Blue Hill. South Loup was the third place team with 105 points.
Arapahoe’s Levi Kerner picked up his moth win with a first round victory at Shelton.
