Body A dream over 20 years in the making sends two local students to state bowling. This year for the first time the NSAA made bowling a varsity team sport. In previous years bowling was only a club sport.

Body Southwest earned a team title while advancing eight wrestlers from the D-2 District meet hosted at Elkhorn Valley Saturday. The team earned 120 points for the District title. The top four wrestlers in each bracket advance to the State Meet hosted in Omaha.

Body Arapahoe earned a runnerup finish at the Class D-1 Districts while sending six wrestlers to the State Tournament this week.

Body The Eagles (14-3) took on Gibbon (10-5) on Tuesday in a tight battle that resulted in a 3 point loss for the Eagles in overtime. The game was down to the wire for the entire 5 quarters. The Buffaloes eked out the lead at halftime 26 to 25.

Body ALMA - By dictating the game with offense, the Cambridge boys basketball team rolled to a 63-38 victory at Alma Friday.

Body BERTRAND - The Arapahoe boys basketball team played defense well enough to win at Bertrand Friday. But they still needed to score enough to make that effort stand up and they were unable to do so as the Vikings took a slugfest 33-22.

Body The Southwest boys fell to Wallace, 55-39, on Tuesday, Feb. 9, and to Axtell, 59-33, on Friday, Feb. 12. The final regular season game for the boy s will be against Maywood/Hayes Center on Friday, Feb. 19.
