The Medicine Valley football team continues to look for its first win of the season after a 16-62 loss to Bertrand Friday. The Raiders took an 8-6 lead when Mason Roblee hit Brody Senff for a 52-yard touchdown with 3:11 left in the first quarter.

Cambridge runs past Alma, evens record at 3-3

CAMBRIDGE - After fighting to get back even by halftime, the Cambridge football team mauled visiting Alma on the ground in the second half and rolled away to a 38-22 win over the Cardinals Friday. The Trojans ran for over 200 yards in the second half, taking the lead on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter as Jayden Ruf escaped on a 40-yard touchdown run, nearly untouched.

Sandy Creek downs Eagles on Homecoming

SOUTHERN VALLEY - In th emidst of a danting stretch of games, the Southern Valley football team dropped Friday’s Homecoming contest with Sandy Creek, 68-6. The Cougars improved to 6-0 while Southern Valley fell to 2-4.

Wolves fall to Hitchcock County

Taking the field in Hayes Center, the Maywood/Hayes Center football team battled district and conference foe Hitchcock County Friday. The Wolves came out on the short end of the stick, dropping a 16-40 game.

Arapahoe shuts down Cambridge, 30-6

ARAPAHOE - In a game that could’ve mostly been played in a phone booth, the explosive plays made by Arapahoe proved to be the difference as the Warriors’ football team remained unbeaten (5-0) with a 30-6 victory over Cambridge (2-3).

Bulls shut out Eagles, 60-0

EUSTIS - While the Hi-Line Bulls lit up the scoreboard in their home contest with Southern Valley Friday afternoon, it was the Bulls’ defense that showcased in a 60-0 victory over the Eagles. Hi-Line’s defense bullied the Eagles for 13 tackles for loss, a pair of safeties and two turnovers, including a picksix.

Roughriders earn district win

The Southwest Roughriders secured their first district win and improved to 3-1 on the season with a 37-25 win over Wauneta-Palisade Friday. Southwest got off to a disastrous start with a fumble on the game’s first play from scrimmage.
