Wayne Earl Heathers was born October 19, 1934 in a farm house in Harlan County, Nebraska and passed away peacefully June 16, 2025 at the Wauneta Care Center, Wauneta, Nebraska at the age of 90. With both of his older brothers off to WWII, Wayne grew up early helping his parents in their wheat fields and independent oil and tire shop.

A Memorial Service for Judy C. Vaughn will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

A Memorial Service for Larry D. Tams was held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Alma, Nebraska, with Pastor Daren Popple officiating. A private inurnment was held prior to the service at the Alma Cemetery.

Burdene Kasson, age 101, of Beaver City, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Beaver City Manor, Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born on January 18, 1924 to Emmett & Josephine (Brown) Walker.

The family of Willis Donald Roethemeyer, 93, is comforted knowing their beloved father went to be with our Lord and Savior and beloved mother on June 21, 2025. Willis was born on December 1, 1931 to Gustave and Ida (Fleer) Roethemeyer on the family farm near Wellfleet, Nebraska. He was the youngest of five children.

Gerald Dwight Jackson, 87, of Beaver City, NE, passed away peacefully at his home on June 5, 2025. Born on April 26, 1938, in Almena, KS, to Millard Orin and Edith Dean Jackson, Gerald grew up in the Kansas plains before graduating from Norcatur High School in 1958.

Delores Elaine “Dee” Highberger was ushered by angels to heaven to be embraced in the arms of Jesus on June 21, 2025. Dee was born August 2, 1939, in Luverne, MN, to Albert and Dorothy Brinkhous.

Terry Michael Hotchkiss passed away May 27, 2025 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. Mike was born April 7, 1966 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
