Body WAUNETA - After cruising to victory on opening night, the Cambridge girls basketball team used some clutch play down the stretch to come back from 12 down to defeat Wauneta-Palisade Friday night and complete a 2-0 opening week.

Body ELM CREEK - After a first-half lead got away from the Southern Valley girls in an opening night loss to Minden, the Eagles rebounded by throttling Elm Creek to open the season 1-1.

Body ARAPAHOE - Following a difficult loss to Overton on Thursday, the Arapahoe girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season with a 49-21 triumph over Dundy County-Stratton Friday.

Body ARAPAHOE - With a pair of strong opponents to start the season, the Arapahoe boys basketball team dropped its first two contests of the year, falling at Overton, 59-23, Thursday before returning home for a 73-50 setback against Dundy County-Stratton Friday.

Body ANSLEY - The Hi-Line girls basketball team dropped a pair of tough losses to Wilcox-Hildreth and Ansley-Litchfield to open the season. The Bulls fell into a 3215 hole at the half Thursday before outscoring the Falcons after half in a 14-point loss.

Body Hi-LineThe Bulls started strong in the first and heated up in the second of their opener against the Falcons. Hi-Line led 15-6 after one and scored 25 in the second to blow the game open for a 4012 lead at the half.
