CAMBRIDGE - With one of its best shooting nights of the season, the Arapahoe boys basketball team put a bow on its RPAC Tournamen with a 58-47 consolation game victory over Southern Valley Friday. The Warriors started hot and stayed that way, putting up 17 points in the opening quarter and 18 more in the second to build a 35-23 lead at the half.

The Hi-Line boys basketball team used a big first half to advance past Overton in th first round of the FKC Tournament Saturday, then fell to Amherst in the quarterfinal round Tuesday. The Bulls, now 7-11, put up 30 points in the first half and claimed a 30-17 lead at the break, then coasted to a 54-38 win over Overton.

RED CLOUD - All four Southwest wrestlers emdaled at the Warcat Invite in Red Cloud Saturday. Carter Van Pelt led the Roughriders with a first-place finish and remained unbeaten this season while Jacob Kerns and Clayton Hardy each took second.

With fast start, Eagles roll past Medicine Valley BARTLEY - With a quick start and a thieving defense, the Southern Valley girls left little drama in their 54-29 opening round victory over Medicine Valley Saturday. The Eagles scored 13 of the game’s first 15 points and built a 30-12 lead at the half before eventually leading by as many as 28.

Bertrand puts away Southern Valley BARTLEY - With a hot shooter and a turnover-prone opponent, the sixth-seeded Southern Valley boys erased an early deficit and built an eight-point lead midway through the second quarter. But the Eagles couldn’t maintain the offense and Bertrand’s size controlled the boards as the Vikings took a 53-37 victory to advance.
