EUSTIS - Behind another strong serving night, the Hi-Line volleyball team controlled the first two sets, then held off Medicine Valley in four to earn its first victory of the season Tuesday. The Bulls served six aces, led by six from RiLee Schutz and three from Klaire Pohl to roll away to wins of 25-10 and 25-17 in the first two sets.

ARAPAHOE - After opening the season with a four-set win over Franklin Thursday, the Arapahoe volleyball team dropped a straight-sets defeat to Cambridge Friday, falling 25-12, 25-19, 25-10. Cambridge hit .284 in the match as Brooklyn Holtze put down 19 kills and hit .436 individually.

After Southern Valley held off Hi-Line rallies to take each of the first two sets, the Bulls dominated the next two before the Eagles eventually prevailed in five, 25-21, 25-20, 15-25, 16-25, 15-12 Thursday.

The Bulls and Rebels exchanged first-quarter scores and Arcadia-Loup City took the lead in the second with a safety.

LEXINGTON - The Southern Valley/Alma softball team captured one victory and had a pair of rallies come up short on opening weekend. On Friday, the Saints fell in an early hole and trailed 7-2 after three innings and 10-2 going to the bottom of the fifth.
