The Southwest football team found plenty of success through the air, but the Roughriders had few answers in slowing down the Wildcats in a 67-45 loss at Wallace Friday. Houston Billeter completed 29 of 40 passes for 402 yards and six touchdowns in the defeat as Trenton Williams had 16 catches for 243 yards and four scores and Deric Kelley added eight grabs for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

CURTIS - After a stretch of six losses in seven matches pushed Cambridge under .500 for the first time in seven years, the Cambridge volleyball team has bounced back and built some momentum. The Trojans took down rival Southern Valley in five sets last Tuesday, then traveled to Medicine Valley Thursday and earned a sweep to improve to 10-7 on the season.

Arapahoe overwhelms Eagles

SOUTHERN VALLEY - In btoh team’s district opener, the Arapahoe football team ran through Southern Valley Friday ngiht, 67-6, to improve to 4-0 while the Eagles fell to 0-4. Arapahoe ran for 411 yards in the contests and had two 100-yard rushers as the Warriors scored five first-quarter touchdowns and built a 47-0 lead at halftime.
