Hi-Line falls on the road at DCS

BENKELMAN - The Hi-Line football team battled against one of the top teams in the region on the road Friday, but the Bulls couldn’t generate enough offense to keep up after halftime. Dundy County-Stratton, which improved to 4-0, scored twice in the third quarter and twice more in the fourth to put away a 50-7 win over the Bulls, who fell to 0-4.

Cambridge shuts out Bertrand, 46-0

BERTRAND - The Cambridge football team took to the road Friday and captured a 46-0 victory at Bertrand. While the offense continued to form its identity, the Trojans defense made life miserable for the Vikings.

NORTH PLATTE - The Hi-Line volleyball team won one match and dropped two at the North Platte Community College Tournament Saturday. The Bulls fell to Sutherland, 25-19, 26-24, in the opener, then rallied to win the second match against Cody-Kilgore 28-26, 25-21.

ALMA - Arapahoe, Southern Valley, Southwest, and Medicine Valley cross-country teams competed at Alma last Monday, September 16. In the girls' race, Tayley Becker of Southern Valley and Ambie Custard of Southwest placed in the top fifteen.

The Roughriders took on the Southern Valley Eagles and won two sets to none.

Wolves rebound from slow start for win over Maxwell

Although the Maywood/ Hayes Center football team didn’t start off Thursday’s game against Maxwell the way it wanted, the Wolves had no complaints about the way it ended. MHC fell behind 0-14 in the first half before its passing game helped it catch up.
