Body SOUTHERN VALLEY With an offense that pushed the tempo, the Maywood-Hayes Center volleyball team captured a four-set victory at Southern Valley Thursday. The Wolves led throughout the first two sets, taking victories of 25-14 and 25-17 for a commanding lead in the match.

Body Wall placed eighth, Broker tenth, Harris eleventh, Gunderson twelfth, Becker fourteenth, and Hernandez fifteenth. Besides Sankey, Broker, and Hernandez, the Lady Wolves had Kesli Cox and Adrianna Estrada competing.

Body Four local cross-country teams traveled to Gothenburg to race last Thursday, October 3. The Trojans, Warriors, Raiders, and Bulls competed against twenty-one other schools.

Body All three local girls golf seasons saw their seasons come to a close Monday at their respective district tournaments. Southwest competed at the District C-5 Tournament in Ogallala while Hi-Line and Cambridge competed at the District C-4 Meet in Cambridge.

Body CURTIS - The Arapahoe Warriors traveled to Curtis to take on the Medicine Valley Raiders and the Paxton Tigers last Thursday. The Lady Warriors beat both Medicine Valley and Paxton, improving their record to 6-12.

Body BARTLEY - The Southwest Roughriders volleyball team improved their record to 21-0 after defeating Decatur Community, St. Francis, Overton, and Alma.
