Area cross-country teams compete at UNK

Body Last Monday, September 30, six local schools traveled to Kearney to compete at the UNK Cross Country Invite: Cambridge, Hi-Line, Maywood- Hayes Center, Medicine Valley, Southern Valley, and Southwest.

Body The Maywood-Hayes Center volleyball team played McCook, Holdrege, and St. Cecilia in a tournament last Saturday, September 28. The Wolves beat McCook but were swept by Holdrege and St. Cecilia, making their record 14-4.

Body The Southwest football team found plenty of success through the air, but the Roughriders had few answers in slowing down the Wildcats in a 67-45 loss at Wallace Friday.
