Four local cross-country teams traveled to Gothenburg to race last Thursday, October 3. The Trojans, Warriors, Raiders, and Bulls competed against twenty-one other schools.

All three local girls golf seasons saw their seasons come to a close Monday at their respective district tournaments. Southwest competed at the District C-5 Tournament in Ogallala while Hi-Line and Cambridge competed at the District C-4 Meet in Cambridge.

CURTIS - The Arapahoe Warriors traveled to Curtis to take on the Medicine Valley Raiders and the Paxton Tigers last Thursday. The Lady Warriors beat both Medicine Valley and Paxton, improving their record to 6-12.

BARTLEY - The Southwest Roughriders volleyball team improved their record to 21-0 after defeating Decatur Community, St. Francis, Overton, and Alma.

CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge volleyball team continued its recent hot-streak when it welcomed Maywood-Hayes Center to town Thursday. The Trojans jumped all over the Wolves in the opener, then made the plays late in the second and third sets for a 25-8, 25-20, 25-20 sweep to win their seventh-straight match.

CAMBRIDGE - While both offenses sputtered a bit at the outset, the Cambridge football team settled in first, then rolled away late for a 42-0 victory over Maywood-Hayes Center Friday night in Cambridge.

WALLACE - The Hi-Line volleyball team hit off to a strong start at Wallace Thursday, but couldn’t hold a lead in a five-set setback to the Wildcats. The Bulls pulled out tight victories of 25-22 and 25-20 in the first two sets, but Wallace rallied for the reverse sweep in a 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-8 victory that dropped Hi-Line to 6-15 this season.
