High school fall sports (almost) all underway this week

After girls golf and softball started their seasons last week, the remainder of high school sports will begin Thursday as cross country, volleyball and football teams open this week. All area teams except for Southwest football will compete this week.

Public Invited to Learn About Possible Nuclear Site

HOLDREGE, Neb. – Area residents interested in learning more about nextgeneration nuclear energy are welcome to attend a Coffee and Conversation event from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Holdrege Sun Theater & Event Venue. The Phelps County Development Corporation is hosting the event in partnership with Nebraska Public Power District.
