Meet the Candidates: Two Colleagues Vying for Gosper County Sheriff Position

ELWOOD – After longtime Gosper County Sheriff Dennis Ocken retired at the end of January of this year, the county commissioners appointed Chief Deputy Craig Ward to Gosper County Sheriff in February. Both Ward and Deputy Jesse Naputi are running for County Sheriff. Since both men are registered Republicans, the winner of the primary will run unopposed during the General Election for the four-year term.
