Village of Oxford approves 1 & 6 year street plan

Body
Village of Oxford had their open hearing for the 1 and 6 year street improvement plan during their regular meeting on Monday, February 21, 2022. The hearing is held and the plan updated as needed every year as called for by the state. The plan does not require the Village to do any of the projects, but needs to be in place. Doug with Olsson’s presented the plans and printed off from last year’s plan and said they could add or change as needed. Last year a big topic was the bridge near the golf course. There was some conversation about the bridge and the state requirements. The bridge would need to be moved and it would not be a small project. Public Works Director Duane Hoffman had wanted to look at the underpass saying if the railroad is going to work on their overpass it would be a good time to work on the road. But he said the railroad is probably not looking at working on it any time in the near future. The intersection of Ogden and Derby was also discussed to add to the six-year plan. Duane said it does hold water and would like the drainage better. The open hearing was closed and the 1 & 6 year street improvement plan for 2022 was approved.
