APS Seniors Take on Job Shadows

Arapahoe Seniors in a Life and Career Readiness class took on job shadows with hopeful future employers. Eleven students were given the opportunity to learn about careers throughout the first semester of this academic year at Arapahoe. Students were asked to really dig into themselves and their futures. The class researched colleges, jobs, careers, duties, responsibilities, and assessed themselves for their best fit looking forward. This class really dove into classwork and worked on finding their best fit - it was truly fun to watch each of them emerge. After researching, each student was asked to find a potential future employer and look to job shadow with them during the month of January. Ten students traveled to Kearney and one student stayed in the area and job shadowed for an entire day. Here's what a few of the students had to say:

SV students chosen as Nebraska Young Artist Award winners

The awards recognize 11thgrade students from Nebraska for their talents in visual art, dance, music, theatre, and film and emerging media arts.
