10 years ago Austin Koller was surprised last week with a t-shirt from Scholastic Math. Throughout the seventh and eighth grade math students read and completed eight issues of Scholastic Math as a supplement to their regular articles.

10 years ago Cambridge School Nurse Angie Hagedorn along with students Breanna Eubanks and Haleigh Westadt accept a check for $4,000 from Fuel Up to Play 60 on the school’s wellness program. City Council members Dee Bantam, Vernita Saylor and Clint Wickizer are up for election and they need to file.

10 years ago Cambridge, Nebraska native, Alysia Mowry is currently working a training rotation at Tri Valley Health System in Cambridge. During her time at TVHS she will spend time seeing patients at all three Medical Clinics.

100 Years Ago February 16, 1922 “A Black Heifer” a most laughable comedy in three acts was presented by the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department at the auditorium to help out with the department’s finances. Work on the Blue Valley Mercantile Company’s $25,000 building in Oxford will begin early in the spring.

25 Years Ago February 6, 1997 The Southern Valley Eagles won over Arapahoe Saturday night in Cambridge to claim the championship of the Republican Valley League. Credit cards may now be used at the Beaver City Post Office.
