LINCOLN – A bill that would limit the scope of easements was heard before the Judiciary Committee on February 11, 2022. Legislative Bill 1135, introduced by Sen. Dave Murman (Dist. 38), would put a time limit of 99 years on easements before they would have to be purchased again to continue. At the present time, easements are held in perpetuity in Nebraska.
