10 years ago Jami (Kubik) Hagedorn, a Cambridge and Nebraska standout from the ‘90’s was inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday in Lincoln. Jami was one of the centers of attention, Cambridge won Class C1 State Volleyball Championship 1993 and back-to-back basketball state championship in 1993 and 94.

Life Chain to be held in Indianola on October 3rd

On Sunday, October 3rd, a Life Chain will be formed in Indianola along Highway 6 & 34 by the City Park from 2:00 until3:00. Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 6o minutes, praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. Participants are asked to meet at the City Park at 1:45. Water bottles, lawn chairs, umbrellas and strollers are welcome and encouraged. Signs will be provided. Coffee and cookies will be served afterwards.

What a September we've had! Hot and dry are about the only terms to describe it. When we had a low of 39 degrees, the thought was that the hot days were history. Wrong! Sunday saw a high of 100 with Monday close to the same. That's too hot for September, let alone the last days of September. But! At this writing, there are good chances of moisture coming. A two day, slow gentle rain is on everyone's wish list.
