Ag Valley Co-op is proud to provide a donation to the Oxford Food Pantry through a partnership with Land O’Lakes Foundation and Co-Bank, This year Ag Valley Coop donated $5,000 that was matched dollar-for-dollar by Land O’Lakes Foundation and CoBank to the Oxford Food Pantry. The Lutheran Church in Oxford helped create a Crockpot Cookbook with items that the food pantry has on hand, allowing families to use the crockpot to make meals. The food pantry operates by appointment only and allows clients to choose which food items bests suit their needs.

During the September 20 Red Willow County Commissioners meeting, Earl McNutt noted the authorization for the chairman’s signature on an interlocal agreement for the Red Willow and Furnas County Veteran Service Officer.

The Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, October 4, 2021. Council member Derek Raburn was absent. After approving the Consent Agenda items, Council approved payment number 2 of $67,379.85 for the swimming pool project. They also approved the agreement for Grant Administration Services for ARPA funding.

Republican Brett Lindstrom, running on the Nebraska Governor ticket, was in Arapahoe Tuesday for a meet and greet at the Arapahoe Coffee Shop. He spoke to the citizens attending about the issues he believes all Nebraskans care about most. He also answered questions from those attending. (Right) Cathy Bowers voiced her concerns at the meet and greet.

10 years ago Tri Valley Health Systems hosted their annual tailgate party Friday night prior to the Arapahoe-Alma football game at the Outdoor Classroom with assistance from George Probasco and members of the Arapahoe Tree Board. 20 years ago Mark Graf, Arapahoe Fire Chief, presented Arapahoe Public School Superintendent Cinde Wendell, with a defibrillator and will be placed in the Arapahoe Public School.
