Eustis Fair & Corn Show begins this weekend

The 109th annual Eustis Fair & Corn Show will feature eight days of activities beginning this Saturday and running through August 9. The festivities begin with a Blue Rock shoot on Saturday, then on Sunday is a BBQ at the Eustis Park at 5:30, followed by a children’s pedal pull at 6:30.

Furnas County Clerk’s Office sending out corrected ballots following error

Furnas County voters living in the Cambridge School District will be receiving new voting ballots in the mail for the August 12, 2025, Cambridge School Bond election following an error with the first batch of ballots. The County Clerk’s initials were not printed on the first batch of ballots, and therefore, those ballots cannot be used as is.

Maywood superintendent Bejot found not guilty of child abuse

STOCKVILLE - Following a two-day trial for counts of Child Abuse and False Reporting, Maywood Public Schools Supeintendent Mark Bejot was found not guilty on both counts by a jury Thursday afternoon. The jury deliberated for just over an hour before delivering the verdict shortly after 4 p.m.

Aggies came home from near and far for Aggie Alumni Day, filling every corner of Curtis with laughter, hugs, and memories that seemed to pick up right where they left off. It reminded us, once again, that NCTA is so much more than a college. It’s a community, a place where connections begin, and where they keep growing, year after year.

Stockville and Country Schools’ Reunion held Saturday in Curtis

The Stockville & Country Schools’ Reunion was held at The Anvil restaurant in Curtis on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The Board Members are President Margene (Maret) Hayes, Vice President Bernita (Hinton) Owens and Secretary-Treasurer Linda (Ralston) Monte. Assisting with the gathering was Randy Hayes who manned the microphone equipment. Decorations were done by Nikki Buker and Cheryl Muilenburg. On display were the pictures of the graduating classes of Stockville High School from the years 1920 through 1964, when the school closed.
