Cambridge and Elwood TeamMates were represented at the TeamMates Annual Conference in Lincoln on July 9-10, where they networked with 300+ other conference attendees representing 190 chapters in 6 states, heard inspiring keynote speakers, and returned home ready to start the new school year with fresh ideas for their chapters. Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) was notified of mosquitoes testing positive for West Nile Virus (WNV) in the health district. The pool of mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus was reported in Red Willow County. There have not been any mosquitoes that tested positive for WNV in the district since 2023, so SWNPHD recommends residents take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

The Cambridge Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. All members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meetings announcement, the board approved amending the agenda. The board also approved the minutes of the June 9th, 2025, July 2nd, 2025, and July 8, 2025 Board of Education Meetings.
