ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (June 25, 2025) - Iowa Lakes Community College proudly recognizes the outstanding academic accomplishments of students named to the Spring 2025 Honors Lists. MCCOOK – Community Hospital has announced the difficult decision to close Curtis Medical Center, located in Curtis, Nebraska. An exact date for the closure is yet to be determined. Inflation over the past few years combined with the current uncertainty of future federal funding has led to this decision.

Early Saturday morning, Furnas County deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the Shady Rest motel in Arapahoe. Just after 4 a.m.

CAMBRIDGE - At the first of the final two community forum’s on Cambridge Public School’s proposed bond and building project, more than 100 community members were on hand to hear directly from members of the board, construction, bond and design personnel and to ask questions in round table discussions Tuesday night.
