(Peru, Neb.) – Peru State College is proud to announce its President’s List for the Spring Term 2025, recognizing outstanding academic achievement. This spring’s honorees include students from Nebraska, 12 other U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and seven other countries around the world.

Ag Valley Co-op, in partnership with the Land O’ Lakes Foundation, proudly donated a total of $10,000 last week to support two local food pantries serving southwest Nebraska communities. Donations of $5,000 each were made to the Frontier County Food Bank in Eustis, Nebraska and the Oxford Food Pantry in Oxford, Nebraska.

Lincoln, Neb., June 19 — Nebraska Extension has announced an application deadline extension and enrollment fee deduction for the 2025 Small Meat Processor Management Training Program, which helps owners and managers of small processing plants build their skills and industry knowledge as part of a cohort learning experience.

The Beaver City Tree Board has started a campaign to revitalize our Tree City status. Some of Beaver City’s most beautiful features are its parks and trees and the Board would like citizens to participate in their maintenance and growth. Several ways to be a part of this process include (1) volunteer to be a part of the Board-we are looking for another member to serve.

CRETE, Neb. (June 19, 2025) - A total of 274 Doane University students made the university’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List, nearly a third of all students enrolled at Doane’s Crete campus.

June 20, 2025 (WAYNE, Neb.) – Wayne State College included 1,196 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Spring 2025 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester. An asterisk (*) denotes a 4.0 GPA for the term.

Celebrate the Fourth at Prairie Pioneer Days in Arapahoe. Thursday July 3 there will be a Quilt Show from 10am -4pm held at Wagner’s Quilts & Conversations ,404 Chestnut St.
