DONALD L. LEISING

Donald (Don) L. Leising, 91, of Lincoln passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 7, 2022. Born April 8, 1931, in Lexington, NE to Carl and Lellia (Warner) Leising.

Don graduated from Edison High School class of 49 and UNL class of 53. He married Marlene Anderson June 1, 1952, who happily supported him during his entire career of selling life and health insurance. Don was involved as a member and officer in numerous local and state insurance associations; NAIFA, GMA, and SFP. He was an active member of the Lincoln Jaycees, Charter and Life member of Gateway Sertoma Club, and Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1951 where he served on various committees. Don actively served his clients until his death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Marlene; children Roger (Kate) Leising, Sondra (George) Smith, and Steven (Barb) Leising; grandchildren Tyler (Becky) Smith, Amy Smith (John) McDaniel, Corey (Rachel) Smith, Michael (Sarah) Leising, Ben (Leah) Leising, Nathan Scholl, Cal Leising, and Ryenne Leising; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law Carl and Alberta Leising, brother-in-law Glenn I. Anderson Jr..
