GUYLIA S. PIERCE
Guylia Sue Pierce went to be with Jesus (In Japan) on August 26, 2026 at 3:42 pm at Bryan West in Lincoln, NE. She was born on May 17, 1960, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS to Guy and Shirley Pierce of Danbury, NE. She lived in North Platte, NE.
She had a sweet personality and her smile always brightened up the room. She had a spunky side also. She was always trying to make friends and loved to talk. She loved her curly hair and her big blue eyes captured everyone. She was always planning a wedding in Japan and had lots of babies. She wanted to be a cheerleader and a Kindergarten teacher.
Guylia loved listening to music and dancing. Her favorite song was Fame, and musical group was the Bee Gees. Her favorite thing to do was to go shopping for pretty dresses and she could outshop anyone. She loved to sit outside in the sun. She liked Pepsi and red licorice. She always looked forward to her weekly visits with her brother, Chuck.
She is preceded in in death by her father, Guy Pierce.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Shirley Pierce, of Ottawa, KS; her four brothers, Glen Pierce of Kansas City, KS, Mike (Cheryl) Pierce of Kansas City, MO, Dave (Mindy) Pierce of Knoxville, TN and Charles Pierce of Hayes Center, NE; many nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends from the North Platte Opportunity Center in North Platte, NE and Southwest Area Training Center of McCook, NE.
She will be greatly missed by everybody who loved her. Rest in peace, Guylia. We love you!
Cremation was chosen and a memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday morning, September 3, 2026 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. A private family inurnment in the Danbury-Marion Cemetery will take place following services.
