HAROLD D. KAPPERS

Harold D. Kappers, age 73, of Edison, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at the Beaver City Manor, Beaver City, Nebraska. He was born at Holdrege, Nebraska on July 16, 1954 to Harold R. & Pauline (Roller) Kappers.

Harold grew up and went to schools in Nebraska & Colorado. He loved playing baseball, football, basketball, and wrestling. As a teenager, he worked at Better Buys of Oxford, Nebraska to help his mom out after loosing his dad at a young age.

He married Twila Park on August 3, 1972; to this marriage they had two sons, Chris and Curtis. They were married for 54 years. Harold was a meat cutter for most of his life in Nebraska and Texas, until he retired.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Harold R. & Pauline and sister Nettie Mae, and brother Kenneth.

He is survived by his wife Twila and sons, Chris and Curtis, grandchildren, August Wolverton, Bryar and Kaylan Kappers, Great grandchildren: Eli and Emma, two brothers, Tim from San Antonio, Texas, and Bruce from Lincoln, Nebraska. sister Linda from Kerrville, Texas, and many nieces and nephews, aunts & uncles, and lots of other family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Harold chose cremation and will not have a visitation. Service will be at a later date. Garey Funeral Home of Beaver City, Nebraska.
