KELLY D. BROOKING

Kelly D. “Huff” Brooking, a beloved resident of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on 09/02/1957 in Ord, Nebraska to Betty Hrabik and Dan Huff. Kelly is survived by her husband, Scott Brooking; mother, Betty Huff; sister and brother-in-law, Becky Huff and Richard Garcia; sister-in-law Judi Huff; sister-in-law and brother- in-law, Barb and Jerry Pedlar, sisters-in-law - Linda Borowiec, Becky Brooking, Tami Brooking; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Kelly graduated from the University of Nebraska.

She was a huge Nebraska Husker football fan and recently joined her sister in cheering on the lady Husker volleyball team.

Kelly worked at Camp Confidence as Accounting Coordinator for the last 18 years. She was a dedicated employee and loved her job. In her spare time, Kelly loved to cook and has a huge collection of cook books.

Kelly and Scott enjoyed going to their favorite neighborhood restaurants with family and friends. They loved to travel and vacationed in Puerto Vallarto, Mexico twice a year. Kelly will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
