Body

Larry Eugene Seaman was born January 11th 1963, in Hebron, Nebraska and departed this earth on November 20th, 2025, at the age of 62 years and 10 months.

He was the fifth of five children born to Jimmie and Velva Seaman.

In his early years, he often was found running around in the Station that his parents operated, causing mischief, and cruising the ditches of Hubbell on his dirt bike since he was told he couldn’t drive it on the street. Later through the love and compassion of Jim and Velva, he gained three additional foster siblings.

Larry attended Chester-Hubbell schools and graduated in 1981.

He went on to attend junior college in Fairbury, Nebraska. He found his passion for agricultural business by working on the farm with Jim, Joe, and Tom Posey.

On May 5th, 1984 Larry was united in marriage to his soul mate, Carla Gebers in Byron, Nebraska. To this union two children were born: Cassidy in 1986 and Nathan in 1993.

As a father, he never missed an opportunity to be present. From coaching, to playing games, vacations, and any other events, he was always there as Cassidy and Nathan’s biggest fan. He shared his love of people and the world with them and showed them what it meant to care for others.

He always thought about what his family needed and found a way to make what they wanted a reality.

When their kids were grown you often would catch Larry and Carla on adventures. Crossing the country to deliver grain and loads of crushed rocks, purchase and resell trailers, and visiting family near and far. Even once accidentally joining a parade when they had taken a detour. The two of them enjoyed roadtripping and seeing the world together.

The family grew even more when Cassidy and Nathan each found their spouses. He gained a son-in-law Marcus and daughter-in-law Caitie.

When the next meaningful chapter came, he was overjoyed to become a Grandpa to Brigham, Blakely and Baylor.

Whether riding bikes and playing basketball with Briggs, breathing new life into Cassidy’s playhouse for Blakely, or piggyback rides and building block towers for Baylor; Larry’s joy was found in these moments.

His heart was fullest when surrounded by family.

Larry’s career started at Hubbell Farmer’s Elevator in Hubbell, Nebraska in 1982. In 1992, Larry transitioned into a new position, at Norder Supply in Hebron. For decades, he dedicated his career to Norders as an Elevator Manager and remained at the company for 33+ years. He was often known to joke and laugh with any farmers and truckers who came through the elevator doors.

His unorthodox record-keeping system of sticky-notes often baffled his staff as he often would be making grain deals on the fly and from his memory. Even with his phone constantly ringing, he never missed a detail and always found a way to exceed expectations.

As a manager he always was rooting for the underdog, and often would look for those he felt he could leave an impact on. His unmatched patience and wisdom made him a mentor to many. Teaching his team not only the skills of the trade but life lessons that extended far beyond work.

Larry gave what he could, whenever he could, even when that was just an ear to listen.

Larry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his unwavering support, friendship to many, and the way he made everyone feel valued. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.
