Henry E. Guerrero, age 72, of McCook, NE, passed away at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook. Henry was born in Corpus Christi, TX to Isabel and Celia (Hernandez) Guerrero on August 15, 1950. He moved to Nebraska in 1970, working as a welder. In 1973 he was wed to Laura Warburton and from this union came Jeremy Joe Guerrero.

Henry earned an associate degree from McCook College in Music. He was best known for being a drummer in bands in southwest Nebraska. He played for: Vic Giron and the County Rebels, Kelly Hayward and the White Line Kings, the Road Masters and Ron Scott, and Larry Good and The Good Times.

Due to a long battle with diabetes and other health concerns, Henry has been in Hillcrest Caring Center for several years.

Henry enjoyed family and friends that would visit.

Henry is survived by his son Jeremy with his wife Stephanie Guerrero of Indianola and their 3 children, and his daughter Amber Guerrero of McCook. Two brothers: Richard Guerrero of Dallas, TX; Gilbert and his wife Esther Guerrero of Corpus Christi. Two sisters: Barbara and her husband Jessie Bueno of Corpus Christi, TX; Cecelia “Sally” Franco of Houston, TX.

In keeping with Henry’s request, the family chose cremation.

Memorial and celebration of life for Henry Guerrero will be held Saturday, February 4th at 1 pm in the Community Building at Red Willow Fair Grounds with food, music, and family after.

All friends and family are welcome to attend.
