Ricky G. Henry of Eustis passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2025, at the age of 70. Rick was born on May 26, 1955, in Lexington, Nebraska to Daniel B. and Norma (Clark) Henry, Jr. He graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1973 and later attended Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska.

Rick had a fulfilling career in construction, working alongside his father for nearly a decade before starting his own venture, Rick Henry Construction. He devoted himself to this work until his retirement in 2020.

Beyond his professional life, Rick was known for his love of family and friends, cherishing the bonds he built in his community. His passions included woodworking, hunting, and fishing. An avid outdoorsman, he excelled at fur trapping and found joy in his morning walks with his dog Ruby. To him, the great outdoors was his church. Rick was also a past member and president of the Eustis Lions Club.

Rick’s heart was full of love, especially for his wife, Wendy, whom he married on February 21, 1976, in Cozad, Nebraska. He leaves behind memories of laughter, warmth, and a dedication to those he cared about deeply.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; brother Danny; grandparents Dan Sr. and Evelyn Henry, Ray and Geraldine Phillips and Harold Clark; father and mother in-law, Oscar and Estaleen Weissert; brother in-law and sister in-law, Don and Beverly Maxon; and other numerous family members.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy of Eustis; brothers, Jon (Denise) Henry of Deshler and Chris (Nancy) Henry of Lincoln; sister-in-law Linda Frazier of Cozad; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Eustis Fire and Rescue Squad or The Nebraska Fur Harvesters Association. A graveside memorial service was held Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Eustis East Cemetery with Pastor Elmo Herman officiating. Berryman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
