Robbie was born on August 22, 1959, born to Ernest and Betty Jean (Shewey) Kearns. He received his education from Eastern Heights High School at Agra, Kansas, graduating with the class of 1977.
On August 6, 1984, Robbie was united in marriage to Tami Wolfe at Axtell, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with three daughters: Shelly, Kim, and Kali. The family made their home in Kearney, and spent their summers at Harlan County Lake. Robbie worked at Colemans, Bamford’s, and later at NAU Insurance, as a Crop Adjuster.
Robbie had many interests in his life; as a young man, he could be found at the race track, whether selling fuel, dirt track racing, or drag racing. He enjoyed hunting, water skiing, and snowmobiling with family and friends. The love of his life was his 1967 Chevelle, everything else came second! In his later years, Robbie enjoyed riding his motorcycle, attending the Sturgis Rally with his close friends BJ, Chris, and Rod and Tonda, and having coffee with friends.
You could find Robbie at the Bait Box for social hour or on his porch with a Captain and Coke. Robbie was full of life lessons and colorful language! Robbie never knew a stranger and was always ready to help someone in need.
Robbie was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Kearns; his mother, Betty Salisbury; and close friend, Marty Ross.
He leaves to celebrate his life; his daughters: Shelly Choquette and her husband, Chad of Minden, Nebraska; Kim Cramer and her husband, Drew of Cambridge, Nebraska; and Kali Kearns of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren: Gavyn, Logan, Devin, Colton, and Camden; Mason, Elisabeth, and Emmett; his siblings: Rodney Knoeber, Kathi Ebner, Kandi Knoeber, Richard Knoeber, and Ben Kearns; his stepfather, Roger Salisbury of Montezuma, Kansas; his ex-wife, Tami Kearns of Cambridge; along with many nieces, nephews and many friends.
