John (Jerry) Brown 77, passed away October 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Jerry was born September 8, 1948, to Bob and Phillis Brown.

Mary Elizabeth Schaffert, 82, was born at home in Frontier County in 1942 to Sylvia Devona (Poteet) Schaffert and Edwin Waldemar Schaffert, and died September 21, 2025. In 1949, the family moved to the farm southeast of Curtis, NE, which was “home” no matter where she lived.

Duane E. Webb, age 98, of Hastings, Nebraska, formerly of Arapahoe, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Grand Island VA Care Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. He was born in Randolph, Kansas on February 21, 1927 to Harold and Viola (Frazier) Webb.
