Patricia R. Johnson, 91 of Cozad, formally of Eustis, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Meadowlark Pointe at Cozad.

Stephen J. Fisher, age 78, of rural Edison, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 23, 1947, in Longview, Washington to Ralph and Hazel (McKnight) Fisher.

A Private Graveside Service for Amelia Best will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Bertrand, Nebraska, with Reverend John Strackbein officiating. Amelia Noelle Best, infant daughter of Draden and Jada (High) Best, of Holdrege, was welcomed into this world, asleep with Jesus, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

Barbara Grilli, age 81, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska surrounded by family. Barb was born in Boulder, Colorado on January 26, 1944 to Mary Alice and Elmer Charles (Buck) Harris.

Mark Derren Hutchens of Beaver City, Nebraska unfortunately passed away of respiratory failure on July 27, 2025 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege Nebraska. He was 62 years and 11 months old.

Charles Richard Druse Sr., born to Alice Lucille Ross on February 21, 1937, at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the age of 88. He lived in St. Thomas Orphanage in Lincoln, Nebraska until the age of 4 when he was adopted by Charles M. Druse Jr. and Hazel J. (Banwell) of Cambridge, Nebraska and graduated from Cambridge Public Schools in 1955, where he was on the Class C State Champion football team earning Allstate honors his senior year.

Dennis D. Rupe of Eustis passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 86. Dennis was born on April 13, 1939, near Eustis, Nebraska to Irvin “Jake” and Mabel (Balcom) Rupe. Dennis graduated from Eustis High School with the class of 1957. He served in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his dedication to his country.

A Graveside Memorial Service for Mike Jones will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska, with Pastor Wes Holen officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Oxford Cemetery.

James “Jimmy” Stalder Jr., age 41, of Beaver City, Nebraska moved to Heaven on Friday, July 18, 2025, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on August 29th, 1983, in Amsterdam, New York, to Jim and Martha (Mac-Donald) Stalder.

Roger W. Carlson, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his home. He decided it was time for a new adventure. He was a master of “one liners”. One of his many favorites was “Close only counts in horse shoes, hand grenades and slow dancing” followed by a wink.
