Bulls take 8th, 10th at Vikings Invite

The Hi-Line boys track and field team scored 26 points to finish eighth and the girls put up 21 points to take 10th at the 13-team Bertrand Invite Thursday.

Isaiah Bullis, Colton Stubbs, Joszelyn Nichelson and Whitney Dickau each won three medals for the Bulls, who put up 17 personal bests and 11 season bests at the meet.

Nichelson finished foruth in the 100 hurdles and Dickau took fifth in the 800 while each ran a leg on the Bulls’ 400 and 1,600 relays, which finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Zoey Evans and Genesee Knackstedt each ran additional legs on the 1,600 relay and Carley Thompson and Aliyah Wilken rounded out the 400 relay for Hi-Line. Thompson also finished sixth in the long jump.

For the boys, Stubbs took third in the 100 and sixth in the 200 while Bullis took fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200. Ian Corder also won two individual medals, finsihing fifth in the shot put and sixth in the discus.

The 1,600 relay team of Bullis, Stubbs, Finn Kerznar and Grant Beitler took fourth place and the 3,200 relay team of Aidan Shutts, Kerznar, Beitler and Kden Clouse finished third.
