Cambridge rolls past South Loup

CAMBRIDGE - With a strong second half, the Cambridge boys basketball team rolled late past South Loup for its seacond win of the season.

The Trojans trailed the Bobcats 11-10 after a quarter, but controlled the rest of the contest with defense, moving in front 24-23 at the half.

Behind a 10-2 third quarter, the Trojans took command and ran away with a 50-39 victory.

Dahlton Wood scored 19 and had 13 rebounds while Cole Fiene also had a doubledouble of 12 points and 13 boards.

Derek Trompke scored 10. Shane Horwart added five points and Carson Trompke scored four. Kyle Borland had two steaks and Zach McArthur dished two assists.

Cambridge hosts Cozad and Loomis Thursday and Friday then competes at the Pleasanton Tournament Monday and Tuesday.
