SOUTHERN VALLEY - The Southern Valley volleyball team rolled past Hi-Line on opening night, taking a 25-4, 25-12, 25-13 victory ovr the visiting Bulls. The Eagles dominated at the service line, serving 23 aces in the match, including 14 from Ann Bose.
EUSTIS - It wasn’t the best of starts for the Hi-Line offense in their season-opener against Pleasanton Friday night. But for whatever struggles the Bulls might have had gaining yards early, they still found ways to put up points.
The Maywood/Hayes Center football team got off to a slow start Thursday in Sutherland, but the Wolves claimed a win in the first game of the season 26-22. Facing a brand new head coach for the Sailors, MHC Head Coach Jeff Erickson said the Wolves had no clue what to expect from Sutherland.
CURTIS - Last Thursday’s meet at Medicine Valley marked the beginning of the 2023 Cross Country team for Hi-Line, Medicine Valley, and Southern Valley. CAMBRIDGE - Since the Cambridge Volleyball Invite expanded to pool play three years ago, Cambridge and Southwest have matched up in the championship game each time. On Saturday, the Trojans and Roughriders both dominated pool play before Southwest got the better of Cambridge in the finals and took its first tournament title at the event.
