CAMBRIDGE - A 22-point halftime defeicit was too much for Cambridge to overcome in a Homecoming loss to Ravenna (3-0) Friday night. Cambridge, which managed less than 50 yards in the first half, drove inside the Ravenna 20 all but one possession in the second half and scored 20 point in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough in a 30-20 loss that dropped the Trojans to 1-2.

Bulls roll past Sutton, now 2-1

With more than 300 yards rushing, the Hi-Line football team cruised to a 56-30 victory over visiting Sutton Friday. The Bulls led 42-6 at the half and cruised to the win behind 191 yards and six touchdowns from Ryker Evans and 99 yards rushing from Asher Hecox.

With five matches in five days, the Medicine Valley volleyball team moved to 6-5 on the season, collecting wins over Dundy County-Stratton on Thursday and Arthur County Saturday. The Raiders dropped the first match of the week last Tuesday at Bertrand in straight-sets, but swept DCS on Thursday to gain their fifth win of the year.

LOOMIS - After dropping the first two matches of the day at the Loomis Tournament Saturday, the Hi-Line volleyball team picked up its first win of the season, taking down Franklin in three sets, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17.

TRENTON - The Arapahoe and Maywood-Hayes Center volleyball teams took to the road Saturday for the Hitchcock County Invite. MHC, by vitue of tiebreaker, reached the finals before falling short to Axtell to finish runner-up.

Cambridge rolls on the road at Pleasanton, 58-14

PLEASANTON - After a bit of a sleepy start, the sun went down and the Cambridge offense heated up in a 58-14 win at Pleasanton Friday. The Trojans were a bit sloppy to start, Coach Catlin Rice said, and were stunned a bit by an injury to starting linebacker and running back Tye Stanton just a few plays into the game.

The Medicine Valley football team lost a 12-54 game toBurwell Friday for its second loss of the season. It was the second big road trip of the season for the Raiders.

COLBY - the Southwest volleyball team remained unbeaten on the early season, sweeping both Rawlins County and Maywood-Hayes Center in a triangular last Thursday to improve to 6-0 on the season. The Wolves, though, presented quite the challenge in a 25-22, 25-20 defeat to the Roughriders.

ALMA - The Cambridge volleyball team picked up its third and fourth wins of the season Thursday, sweeping both Bertrand and Alma to improve to 4-1 on the season. Cambrigde took down Bertrand 25-17, 25-23 behind a strong offensive performance that featured some leaky passing and serve receive.
