Cambridge girls hold off Southwest

BARTLEY - A dominant second quarter push visiting Cambridge to the lead the Trojans were able to score enough to hold off Southwest for a 61-56 victory in Bartley Friday night. Southwest had the hot hand early and led by as many as eight, but the Trojans erased the deficit with an 18-point second quarter to build a 27-19 lead at the half.

Stengel said MHC continues to work on taking care of the ball and rebounding better, as well as different defensive options and scoring in their half-court offense. “All of the girls continue to work really hard in practice,” Stengel said, adding, “We have been able to get all of our bench some great minutes in varsity contests, as well as our full JV teams' playing time.” Two Tuesday games remain on the Wolves’ schedule before the RPAC tournament starts Jan.

Med Valley splits with Wallace, Arapahoe

Med Valley got back on track Friday with a 63-18 win over Arapahoe. MV scored the first six points of the game on its way to a 16-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Raiders warmed up from long distance in the second quarter as they increased their advantage to 40-11 at halftime. With its offense continuing to hit on all cylinders Med. Valley continued to pull ahead throughout the second half.
