Five qualify for State Golf tournament

CAMBRIDGE - While each of the local teams came up short of a top-three qualifying spot, five area golfers finished in the top ten and advanced to the Class D State Golf Tournament, which begins Tuesday in North Platte.
Southern Valley’s Kamden Bose finished third at Monday’s district golf tournament in Cambridge and qualified for his third-straight State Tournament.

hi-Line qualifies three at District C-8 meet

ORD - The Hi-Line Bulls competed at the NSAA District C-8 meet in Ord last Thursday. Three Hi-Line athletes qualified for the state meet this Friday and Saturday: Asher Hecox, Drew Knoerzer, and Cooper Knackstedt.

MCCOOK - The District D-7 meet, hosted by Medicine Valley, was in McCook last Wednesday. District D-7 had some of the most intense competition, with a Class D State record being set.
Cambridge’s JoLie Farr set a new State record with a 12.35 in the 100-meter dash at districts last week and in a rare feat, all eight entrants into the 100-meter dash finals at the meet qualified for State.

Track teams wrap regular season at Alma’s Dale Harsin Invite

ALMA - Cambridge, Southern Valley, Medicine Valley, Hi-Line, Arapahoe, and Southwest competed at Alma's Dale Harsin Track Invite last Thursday, May 2nd. The Cambridge girls won and the Cambridge boys placed second. The Southern Valley girls placed third, and the boys placed eleventh. For Medicine Valley, the girls placed fourth, and the boys placed eighth. The Hi-Line boys placed fifth and the girls placed ninth. The Arapahoe girls placed sixth and the boys placed ninth. And finally, the Southwest girls placed eighth and the boys placed tenth.

SUTHERLAND - Arapahoe, Cambridge, Maywood-Hayes Center, Medicine Valley, and Southwest competed at the Best of the Midwest track meet in Sutherland last Tuesday, April 30th. Out of the 24 girls' teams, Cambridge placed ninth, Arapahoe placed fifteenth, Maywood-Hayes Center placed sixteenth, Medicine Valley tied for sixteenth, and Southwest placed twenty-fourth.

Bulls finish runner-up at FKC Golf Tournament

OVERTON - With three individual medalists, the HI-Line Golt Team finished runner-up at the Fort Kearny Conference Tournament Tuesday. Gavin Tilson led the team with a round of 81 and finished seventh place while Hudson Weeder shot an 83 and took 11th.

Southwest edges Southern Valley for RPAC Runner-Up, six earn medals

CAMBRIDGE - While Hitchcock County ran away with the team championship, Southwest and Southern Valley’s battle for runner-up honors at the RPAC Golf Tournament came down to just a couple strokes. In the end, Southwest claimed the second spot, finishing with two individual medalists and four scorers carding a 103 or better.
