BARTLEY - All six local wrestling teams wrapped up the regular season at the Southwest invite Friday in Bartley. Hi-Line led local teams with a seventh place finish while Arapahoe was ninth, Southern Valley was 10th and Southwest and Cambridge finished 14th adn 15th.

RPAC Rundown Athletes of the week honors go to: Karissa Stengel of Maywood-Hayes Center . In the RPAC West GBB Semi-final 52-45 win over Paxton on Thursday, Stengel tallied 15 points, 13 rebounds and eight steals.

In a consolation battle Thurday, the Arapahoe girls basketball team wrapped up its RPAC Tournament with a 47-37 victory over Bertrand, pulling back to .500 on the season. The Warriors trailed early, but held the Vikings to 12 points total in the second and third quarters to erase a deficit and take a 31-23 lead to the fourth, where they salted the game away.

EUSTIS - the Hi-Line girls basketball team opened its Fort Kearney Conference Tournament with a 47-20 defeat to Loomis Saturday. The Wolves jumped out to a 12-4 lead after a quarter and built a 27-7 lead at the break.

EUSTIS - The eighthseeded Hi-Line boys basketball team dropped its Fort Kearny Conference Tournament opener to ninth-seeded Pleasanton Saturday, 40-35. The Bulls remained in striking distance, but trailed much of the game after falling behind with a six-point second quarter.

ARAPAHOE - It was a highly-successful day of competition for four local wrestling teams as two area squads tied for the team title and six individuals captured first in their weight brackets at the Darrell Barnes Invite in Arapahoe Saturday. Arapahoe and Cambridge finished tied for the team title with 123.5 points each and Hi-Line and Southern Valley both finished in the top half of the standings, taking fifth and sixth with 97.5 and 93 points, respectively.

CURTIS - The Southwest wrestling team medaled four of its five wrestlers and finished seventh at the 18-team Medicine Valley Invite Friday. The Roughriders’ Mitchel Stritt came away with a tounament championship, earning four victories along the way.
