Body MAYWOOD - With two more dominant wins, the Maywood-Hayes Center girls basketball team advanced to 7-0 last week and with Tuesday’s win over Garden County will enter the holiday break unbeaten.

Body The Lady Trojans head into Christmas break with a 6-2 record. The Trojans lost to Cozad 37-47 last Thursday.

Body The Southern Valley boys are chipping their way towards a winning record. The Eagles beat Ravenna, Loomis, and Southwest this past week.

Body The wins didn’t come easy last week for the Medicine Valley girls basketball team, but the Raiders came out ahead of both Hitchcock County and South Loup in Thursday and Friday action. Med.

Body The Medicine Valley boys basketball team dropped two contests last week, starting with a home game against RPAC foe Hitchcock County Thursday. The Raiders’ offense was slow to gain traction in the first quarter.

Body The Cambridge boys basketball team ends the week with a 6-2 record after losing to Cozad and beating Anselmo- Merna and Ravenna. Last Thursday aganist Cozad, Cambridge lsot 29-45.

Body CAMBRIDGE - The Southwest girls medaled all five competitors and finished seventh at the Cambridge Invite Saturday. Madelyn Tryon led the way with a first-place finish at 235 while teammate Olivia Minary finished second in that class.

Body ARAPAHOE - the Arapahoe bowling teams took on Hastings in a home dual last week. The girls came up just short victory, dropping a 12-9 decision.

Body MAYWOOD - The Maywood- Hayes Center boys basketball team pulled out a win on the road last Tuesday at Sandhills Valley, then cruised to a home victory Thursday against Brady to improve to 6-1 this season.

Body CAMBRIDGE - Nine area athletes earned medals and the Arapahoe wrestling team finished third at the Fran Jorgensen Invite in Cambridge Saturday.
