Although some candidates have already filed for office, those seeking a position on the village board are not required to file until the general election cycle.

The progressive people of the town led by the Commercial Club, raised enough funds to furnish a desirable site.

CAMBRIDGE - Through a back-and-forth first half, it was anyone’s game at the break as Cambridge and Southwest squared off in the Subdistrict D1-12 Championship Thursday in Cambridge. But a strong third quarter proved to be the difference for Cambridge, which outscored the Roughriders 18-8 in the third period and rolled away to a 58-45 victory, securing a berth in Friday’s district finals.

William Marion Gotchall, 79, of McCook, NE, passed away on February 19th, 2022, at his home in McCook, NE after a recent diagnosis of advanced cancer. William (Bill) was born on May 22, 1942, to the late Marion and Norma (Struthers) Gotchall. He was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, moved to the family farm north of Lebanon in 1947 and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1960.

Sam Osterman pinned Kenny McClelland of Clearwater/Orchard in 1:43; won a 9-2 decision over Austin Ruskamp (35-9) of Freeman; lost a 1-7 decision to Forrest Jones (29-3) of Winside, won a 4-1 decision over Barrett Pieper (40-12) of NPSP; and lost 0-7 decision to Josh Eklund (46-4) of Friend for 4th place and a state medal.
