The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. The staff will continue to make your visit here, either while participating in the activities or eating our noon meal, as positive and enjoyable as can be. Thanks for your support.

Wayne State College Includes More Than 1,200 Students On Dean’s List

(Wayne, Neb.) -- Wayne State College included more than 1,200 students on the dean’s list for exemplary academic achievement during the Fall 2021 semester. Students listed on the dean’s list are full-time undergraduate students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester. An asterisk (*) denotes a 4.0 GPA for the term.

Tri Valley Health System Diabetes Support Group

The Tri Valley Health System monthly diabetes support group will be held on Monday, February 7 at 5:00 p.m. in the Meadowlark Meeting Room, which can be accessed through the Wellness Center entrance or the main entrance. HgbA1C testing will be done from 4:30-6:00 for $25 in Cambridge and is also available at the Arapahoe and Indianola Clinics all day on February 7. Following the discounted screening, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Tonya Koeppen will be presenting a virtual supermarket tour with the group. Tri Valley Health System invites anyone with the diagnosis of diabetes as well as a support person to join the free support group and there’s no need to pre-register. Sophomore Delaney Collins, was selected to teach the National Anthem to the Elwood Pre-K Class.
