A Joint Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Bonita M. Sturgis and Funeral Service for Evert L. Sturgis was held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Holdrege Methodist Church, Holdrege, NE, with Pastor Rhonda Wulf officiating. Inurnment and Interment followed at the Prairie Home Cemetery, at Holdrege.

Suzanne (Suzie) Harder age 80, of Lincoln (former resident of Beaver City) Nebraska passed away at home on January 21, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Eugene Fred Koch, a devoted family man, proud Marine, and lifelong agricultural professional, passed away on January 17, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 71 years old.

A graveside service for Carl “Lee” Struve was held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, NE with Mr. Kenneth Schoen officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team.

Corvin Dean Stark, age 88, of Holbrook, NE passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home. He was born at Cambridge, NE on August 23, 1937, to Henry G. and Hilda (Harm) Stark. He was baptized and confirmed at the Salem Lutheran Church, at Elwood, NE. He grew up on the farm north of Holbrook.

Blaine Allen Frerichs, born on July 24, 2003, in Grand Island, Nebraska, was a treasured son, brother, and uncle whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. The beloved child of Chad and Lena (Pike) Frerichs, Blaine embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. He graduated from Southwest Public Schools in Bartley, Nebraska proudly finishing a year early alongside his brother, Kaleb.

A funeral service for Sharon E. Schluntz will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntley Methodist Church in Huntley, Nebraska, with Pastor Jean Clayton officiating. Interment will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery near Huntley.

Hazel Lorene Sandell, lovingly known as “Tuffy,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the age of 96, at Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, Nebraska. Hazel was born April 9, 1929, in Harper County, Kansas, to Conrad and Opal (Sevier) Kollmorgen.

Larry Lee Bodfield, 74 passed away peacefully January 10th, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He was born on March 22, 1951, to Richard and Geraldine Bodfield in Gothenburg, Nebraska where he also attended school. He married Mary Lucille Imler on March 26th, 1971, to which four children were born, Rebecca, Angie, Michael, and Michelle. He was employed in numerous jobs over the year’s most specializing in meat processing. He was an avid outdoors man including fishing, hunting and trapping.
