Larry Doyle age 83 of Bartley, passed away at the Kearney Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born in McCook, NE on September 13, 1940, to William and Eula (Tiller) Doyle. Larry attended school in Bartley and graduated from Bartley High School in 1958. In March of 1962, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was trained as an Aircraft Refueling Specialist.

Paula was born during a terrible blizzard on December 6, 1926, in the kitchen of her family’s rural Furnas County log home.

Carol Susan (Potter) Duis, 77, died February 6, 2024, surrounded by family at her home in Tacoma, WA. Born June 16, 1946, to Myrom “Hap” Potter and Catherine “Kay” (Trenchard) Potter and raised in Cambridge, NE. Carol attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was a Regent Scholar, and spent over 30 years teaching in Chicago, IL and Oakdale, MN. She and husband John Robert “Bob” Duis lived on an 80-acre hobby farm in Somerset, WI, where they raised daughters Jennifer and Susan. After retiring, they moved to Haines, AK in 2006.
