OVERTON - Maywood-Hayes Center’s football team continues to look for its first win of the season after a 6-49 loss Friday at Overton. MHC trailed 0-20 in the second quarter but was able to take advantage of Overton penalties to set up a threeyard Sawyer Dibbern touchdown run for the Wolves’ only touchdown of the game.

BRADY - The Hi-Line volleyball team captured three wins in five matches last week and improved to 7-12 with a pair of victories at the Brady Tournament Saturday. The Bulls dropped a threeset match against the tournament hosts, 25-15, 20-25, 2510, to open, but bounced back with straight-set wins over South Platte and Twin Loup to cap the tournament.

STAMFORD - The Southern Valley/Alma softball team battled through a tough week, dropping five of six games down the stretch of the regular season, which ends Thursday at Kearney Catholic. The Saints were doomed by a six-run sixth inning from Highway 6 Thursday in a 7-3 loss, then were run-ruled three times Saturday at the Central City Invite, falling to NEN, 9-1, and Aquinas, 12-2, before dropping a contest to Southern/Diller-Odell, 10-2 to end the tournament.
