Gunnar Bradley Charles Blaschko, age 3, of Kearney passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms on February 23, 2026 at Children’s in Omaha, NE. A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Scott Harter officiating. A visitation was held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney and one hour prior to the service at the church. The service was live streamed through the church at https://youtube.com/ live/iZJYz0d-Q-s Gunnar was born on October 13, 2022 at UNMC in Omaha, NE at just 26 weeks gestation.

Derald Wayne Deselms, a barber, munitions plant employee, postal service worker, veteran and faithful host of family gatherings for six decades, died Feb. 9, 2026. He was 87. He was born on June 12, 1938, with his twin brother Harold on a farm in Furnas County near Edison. They were the last of six children born to Leo Deselms and Jennie (Stevens) Deselms.

Connie June Graning, age 85, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Beaver City Manor, Beaver City, Nebraska. She was born September 24, 1940 to Frederick Wilhelm and Evelyn Lucille (Foster) at Fritzer Memorial Hospital, Oxford, Nebraska.

Theda Beth (Jones) Stanley, of McCook, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Theda Beth was born to John and Ruthella (Carter) Jones in Mc-Cook, Nebraska, on June 14, 1943. After graduating from McCook High School in 1961, she worked as a telephone operator before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Dale Stanley.

David John Herbert, age 77, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1948 at McCook, Nebraska to Harvey D.

Edward LeRoy Kester, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on February 11 in Kearney at 87 years. He was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma on June 8, 1938, to Dr. Howard and Louise (Mayo) Kester. The family lived in several more states as Howard served the government as a federal veterinarian, including Arkansas, Illinois, and Maryland. When Ed was in first grade, they moved to a farm north of Cambridge. Ed attended Orafino Country School from first through eighth grades. He then attended Cambridge High School, graduating in 1957. During high school Ed was active in football and track.

Donald Harvey Neel passed away at his home north of McCook on Monday, February 16, 2026. He was 67 years of age. Don was born on March 16, 1958 to Stanley E. and Margaret D. (Barber) Neel at St. Catherine Hospital in McCook, he was the youngest of four children. Don spent his life doing what he loved, farming with his family!
