OXFORD - Southern Valley’s Kamden Bose tied for the best score on the day and took second and his Eagles finished second as a team at the annual Knipping Invite in Oxford. Bose shot a round of 85, even with Alma’s Grant McQuay, who took first while Bose was second.

Area golf teams head to North Platte for districts Monday

NORTH PLATTE - The Arapahoe, Cambridge, Hi-Line, Southern Valley and Southwest golf teams will travel to North Platte’s River’s Edge Golf Course for the District D-4 Tournament Monday. Therer are 15 teams in the field and the top three teams and top 10 individuals will advance to the Class D State Tournament, which is also at North Platte, but at the Lake Maloney Golf Club on May 24 and 25..

BERTAND - The Cambridge boys and girls track and field days performed at their highest levels of the season and largely dominated in taking home team titles at the RPAC track and field meet in Bertrand Thursday. The Cambridge girls scored 164 points on the day, nearly doubling up runner-up Maywood-Hayes Center, which scored 87.

ELWOOD - As the hosts of the Fort Kearny Conference track and field meet, the Hi-Line track teams finished 7th and 9th at the meet Friday. The boys team scored 36 points, led by a four-medal day from Treyton Evans and three medals from both Isaiah Bullis and Ryker Evans.

CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge and Southwest golf teams each had a medalist and the Trojans finished runner-up as a team at the Southwest Invite Thursday at Cross Creek Golf Links in Cambridge. The Trojans’ Brodie Mitchell led all local individuals with a runner-up finish and a round of 94.
Southwest’s Colton Sedlacek led the Roughriders with a round of 99 at the Southwest Invite.
